Screening Thursday June 16, 7pm

A collaborative piece created as part of life story telling workshops
Original idea and directed by Sophie Bissonnette
Presented by Réseau d’action pour l’égalité des femmes immigrées et racisées du Québec (RAFIQ)

'' They came to Québec for love, to study, to escape war or to provide a better future for their children. Six women, aged 45 and over from Africa, Latin America and Europe recount their migratory journey and the challenges faced to rebuild their lives. Women of courage and conviction, each one took the opportunity, in their own ways, to achieve and establish themselves as women engaging in Quebec society. ''

Produced by the Groupe d’Intervention Vidéo in collaboration with the Réseau d’action pour l’égalité des femmes immigrées et racistes du Québec (RAFIQ) through the Artists and Community Collaboration Program (ACCP) in media arts from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Programme d’Action communautaire from the conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec.
