et les élèves de 5e secondaire de M.I.N.D High School
Video Screening Night Thursday April 17th, 7pm
This spring, Julie Lequin was artist in residence in the 5th grade class of the M.I.N.D. High School. Libres comme l'art is a program of artistic residencies in the school system for professional artists.
Inspired by their everyday life and contemporary video art, the students created a series of art videos. La Centrale is proud to collaborate with Montreal artist Julie Lequin and M.I.N.D. High School students to present their projects as part of a screening on Thursday April 17th, at 7pm.

Julie Lequin obtained a BFA from Concordia University in 2001 and a MFA from the Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, California) in 2005. Her multidisciplinary practice includes video art, performance, drawing, writing (lists, narratives, scripts) and the conception of accessories and costumes. Julie Lequin has exhibited her work in Canada and Internationally. She is currently preparing two solo exhibitions in Montréal, at the Centre Clark and at Optica. She lives and works in Montréal.
*Libres comme l'art is a programm in artistic residencies in collaboration between the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM), the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal (CRÉ) and the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS).
