Beneath the willow tree, Rihab Essayh, La Centrale's winter window exhibition from December 18, 2020 to January 24, 2021:
In this exhibition Beneath the willow tree, Rihab Essayh takes Ophelia, a fictional character from Shakespeare's play Hamlet, as a reference and represents the point of view from the water of her death. In her work, Rihab Essayh considers alienation as a cause of depression for women and uses this question to think about the boundaries between madness, depression, euphoria and ecstasy.
